Description

Maximilian silver "Small Letters" Pattern Peso 1866-Mo MS61 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM-Pn100. Obv. Head of Maximilian with lettering in the obverse legend that is noticeably smaller than the normal circulation strike legend. Rev. Crowned arms with date and value. Sharply struck, with prooflike fields. The luster is full, and bright, with a hint of golden patina and a few minuscule marks that detract little from the overall appearance. A very scarce, and popular, issue.
