    Description

Philip V gold Cob Escudo 1714 Mo-J MS65 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM51.2, Fr-7c, Cal-1739. 3.33gm. Radiant, tangerine-tinged golden surfaces abounding, this magnificently preserved small denomination is tied for the second-finest certified at NGC, with a single MS66 outlier higher. Struck slightly off-center but displaying the full year, mintmark, and assayers initials, rarely do we see examples without at least one of these obscured, presenting a unique opportunity to obtain a cob Escudo so fine.

    From the Long Island Collection
