Description

Early Mexican Pillar In Choice Mint State

Philip V "Milled" 8 Reales 1733 Mo-MF MS63 NGC, Mexico City mint, KM103, Cal-1439. Small crown variety. The second milled date of the type, and one of the most elusive emissions from the Mexico City mint. Bearing a lovely pewter-blue patina that accentuates the elegantly chiseled features, while the innocuous die breaks on the reverse lend a touch of originality to the already authentic visual appeal. One of only four examples certified by NGC at this level or better but the highest graded piece Heritage has ever had on offer. A special example that will likely cause a stir among the army of enthusiasts of this iconic Latina American Crown-type.
