Description

Republic 8 Reales 1846 C-CE AU58 NGC, Culiacan mint, KM377.3, DP-Cn01. Lightly toned and lustrous, with a touch of wear on the higher points accounting for the designation and the expected moderate handling marks at this level. Softly struck in the centers as often seen on the issue, yet an unusually well preserved example of the rare first date in the series of 8 reales struck at Culiacan, rare in this quality and currently the single finest certified example by either NGC or PCGS.
