Description
Republic 8 Reales 1865 Do-LT VF Details (Chopmarked, Graffiti) NGC, Durango mint, KM377.4 ("Rare"), DP-Do46 ("Extremely Rare"). Evenly worn and wholesome with a small, essentially unobtrusive, chopmark below the eagle's left wing and an "X" above its head likely accounting for the designation, with two minute digs or test marks below its right wing also mentioned for accuracy. A quite decent example of this very elusive date, one of the classic rarities of the entire series, rated in DP as the 3rd rarest date of the Durango mint and quite desirable as such despite the noted shortcomings.From the FoxLair Collection
