Republic copper Pattern 8 Reales 1829 Pi-JS MS64 Brown NGC,
possibly Soho mint, KM-Pn21, Guttag-3081A. Few 8 Reales can claim
to match the level of aesthetic quality as seen on the present
specimen, distinguished by a laudably bold striking one comes to
expect from British steam-powered presses, fully embossing the
meticulous devices upon the copper planchet beneath. Rarely does
one get the chance to see a piece of this caliber, on the cusp of a
Gem assignment, with vibrant polychromatic tones that shine at the
