Superlative "Top Pop" Oaxacan Gold 10 Pesos
Republic gold 10 Pesos 1872 Oa-E MS65 NGC, Oaxaca mint,
KM413.8, Fr-136. Mintage: 5,897. A heavenly example of this Oaxacan
"Balance Scale" gold type, bathed in satiny honey-amber brilliance.
The strike on each side is as crisp as you'd like and there is
practically no chatter in the fields to mention, let alone any
distracting abrasions. The sole finest example at either NGC or
PCGS, and a coin that is sure to cause quite a stir when it crosses
