Puebla - Tetela del Oro y Ocampo. Revolutionary copper Uniface Trial 10 Centavos 1915 MS63 Brown NGC, KM-TS1, Guthrie-Bothamley:401. A uniface reverse trial of this local coinage struck for the small village of Tetela del Oro y Ocampo in the state of Puebla. Very rare, perhaps 5 or so of its kind are known, and this example (the single finest graded at NGC) is the most pleasing we've seen, with a bold strike, no observed post-strike marks and alluring intermingled reddish-brown and golden color over the surfaces. Certain to catch the eye of the specialist.

With the superb catalog, a masterwork prepared by Mark Borckhardt, the sale was destined to meet all of my expectations; that it did, and then some. Be assured that I would highly recommend Heritage Auctions to any of my associates contemplating the sale
