    Description

    MS66 to MS67 Five Piece 1909 Collection
Includes Indian Cent, Nickel, Dime, Quarter and Half

1909 Denomination Set MS66 to MS67 PCGS. Housed in old green label holders, four of which have consecutive serial numbers. The set includes:
1909 Indian Cent MS66 Red PCGS. Boldly struck and beautiful with dazzling luster and exquisite surfaces. Nearly perfect aside from a single small spot on the T in CENT. PCGS has graded just four pieces finer (11/08).
1909 Nickel MS66 PCGS. Caramel-gold and steel-blue toning alternates across this lustrous and powerfully impressed Premium Gem. Practically devoid of marks, with the obverse especially nice. The borders have an orange peel texture, as made from long-in-use dies. Population: 22 in 66, none finer (11/08).
1909 Dime MS67 PCGS. Orange-red and sun-gold toning adorns the margins of this formidably lustrous Superb Gem. Intricately struck and remarkably unabraded. Available in typical Mint State, but very rare so close to perfect. Population: 3 in 67, none finer (11/08).
1909 Quarter MS66 PCGS. Sky-blue and olive-green are prevalent, although the peripheries offer golden-russet patina. Lustrous and meticulously struck with exemplary preservation. Seldom seen so nice. Population: 16 in 66, 2 finer (11/08).
1909 Half Dollar MS66 PCGS. The centers are only delicately toned, but the borders display rich forest-green, orange-gold, and rose-red. A blemish-free and lustrous Premium Gem that has an excellent strike and noteworthy eye appeal. Population: 10 in 66, none finer (11/08).
This exceptional five-coin Philadelphia Mint set is amazing, with coins that are so nicely matched that we were not at all surprised when our consigner told us that, to the best of his knowledge, they have been together since they were issued in 1909. An opportunity to buy this splendid century old coin set should not be passed by. All of the coins have amazing original luster beneath lovely toning.
