1969 Transcontinental Railroad So-Called Half Dollar MS67. Heraldic Art Medal #33. Sterling silver. Obverse: The Sacramento, first locomotive in California, is shown at the top half of the design. Beneath are two figures, one symbolic of the Central Pacific railroad and the other symbolic of the Union Pacific railroad; superimposed over an outline of the United States. Reverse: scene of a Plains Indian observing in wonderment the white man's railroad, from a distance.
