    Description

    1863 $50 Louisiana, VF. Cr-12. This note features a portrait bust of General Leonadis Polk, a Confederate general, Episcopal bishop, and the founder of the University of the South (Sewanee). There is a large stain that has caused slight discoloration on the right end on the note, and there is a notch in the upper left margin. One of the signatures has ink rot into the paper. Still crisp and acceptable for the issue.
