Description
1995-W Silver Eagle, PR70 Deep Cameo
Low-Mintage Series Key
1995-W $1 Silver Eagle PR70 Deep Cameo PCGS. For the 10th
anniversary of the American Eagle Bullion program in 1995, the U.S.
Mint issued a five-piece set of coins including the four gold
denominations and the silver eagle in proof format. The coins were
struck at the West Point Mint and all have the W mintmark. Because
the coins were sold only in sets, with a high price of $999 per
set, the mintage of the West Point issues was limited and Only
30,125 sets were sold. Accordingly, the 1995-W is the low-mintage
king of the silver eagle series. This magnificent specimen is technically perfect, with fully struck frosty design elements that create stunning cameo contrast with the deeply mirrored fields. The impeccably preserved surfaces are completely brilliant and eye appeal is tremendous. The 1995-W is the number 4 coin in the 100 Greatest U.S. Modern Coins. Population: 60 in 70 Deep Cameo, (1/15).(Registry values: N4719)
