    Description

    2014 Tenth-Ounce Gold Eagle, MS69
    Very Rare Narrow Reeds

2014 $5 Tenth-Ounce Gold Eagle, Narrow Reeds, MS69 NGC. The May 20, 2015 issue of Coin World reported that "one of two known 2014 American Eagle, Narrow Reeds tenth-ounce gold bullion coins sells for $28,650." As of (5/16), NGC has certified a total of seven examples, all as MS69. PCGS has certified three pieces, two as MS69 and one as MS70. Obviously, the variety remains very rare, relative to its plentiful Wide Reeds counterpart. It is an unheralded key to the tenth-ounce gold eagle series. This is a pristine and fully struck caramel-gold example.
