VAM-14.1A, 'Alligator Eye' Variety
1878 8TF $1 Alligator Eye, VAM-14.1A, MS66 PCGS. Numerous
8TF VAMs are known, and a majority are very scarce to rare.
VAM-14.1A is somewhat scarce but readily collectible. The left
border of the eye is die doubled, hence the "Alligator Eye"
nickname. The present sharply struck Premium Gem offers light
