1878 8TF $1 Lines in LIB, VAM-2, MS65+ PCGS. CAC. This
essentially brilliant and thoroughly lustrous Gem also displays a
pleasing strike. No mentionable abrasions are absent, save for a
tick on the eagle's breast. The eight tailfeather subtype was
coined only in 1878 at Philadelphia, and constitutes a minority of
the production for that year.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2013), lot 4937; PNG New York Invitational (Heritage, 10/2014), lot 3715.
