Description
1878 8TF $1 MS65 NGC. VAM-4. This boldly struck Gem has a lustrous reverse and a prooflike obverse. Faintly toned in gold hues. The fields are well preserved, and the cheek has only wispy grazes. Both sides exhibit minor die doubling, typical of the briefly coined 8TF subtype.(Registry values: P5, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253H, PCGS# 7072, GSID# 7444)
