MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike
1878-CC $1 MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. This is an
outstanding Gem that displays a high degree of field-motif
contrast. The mildly frosted design features are the recipients of
a powerful strike (not unusual for this issue), as evidenced by
sharp delineation in the hair over Liberty's ear and on the breast
feathers. Wisps of reddish-tan and cobalt-blue cling to the rim
areas, a pleasing frame for essentially untoned centers. Some
minute obverse milling marks preclude an even higher grade. Census:
