MS66 1878-CC Morgan Dollar
Frosted Mint Luster
1878-CC $1 MS66 NGC. The silver-white surfaces of this
Premium Gem offer a typically excellent appearance for the issue,
as though the Carson City Mint employees in 1878 knew that their
productions would be prized and examined by posterity. The strike
is bold throughout, with frosty luster. Only a small network of
hair-thin scrapes on Liberty's chin possibly precludes an even
finer grade. NGC has certified nine examples in higher grades
