Description

1878-S $1 MS67 NGC. The 1878-S is surprisingly scarce in Superb condition, unlike other early S-mint dollars. Only 19 other pieces have been so graded by NGC with none finer at that service (1/05). This is a particularly attractive coin that has semi-reflective obverse fields with the expected mint frost in the reverse fields. Brilliant throughout and fully struck. Exceptional quality.
