1879-CC Morgan Dollar, MS62 Prooflike
Low-Mintage Branch Mint Key
1879-CC $1 MS62 Prooflike NGC. Normal mintmark. Both sides
of this sharply struck 1879-CC display deeply mirrored fields
surrounding frosted devices. A thin veil of champagne toning
enhances the overall eye appeal. A few minor surface marks ping the
prooflike fields, somewhat limiting the grade of this exceptional
dollar. The 1879-CC is a scarce, low-mintage issue to begin with,
and prooflike examples are scarcer still.Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage 1/2011), lot 5859. (Registry values: P7, N1793)
