Description

Memorable 1879-CC Dollar
MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike

1879-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. Not only is this spectacular coin the first key CC-mint issue in the series, but it is a near-Gem with Deep Mirror Prooflike certification from NGC, and as such also a rarity and an eternally popular Morgan dollar. Few such specimens of the 1879-CC exist, since most examples of the issue show rather shallow prooflike tendencies, or none at all. This is a true Deep Mirror Prooflike, however, with lavish mint frost on the devices and limitless mirrors in the fields, yielding the coveted black-on-silver appearance. A couple of light scrapes prevent an even finer grade, but this tremendous coin has much to delight the viewer. Census: 11 in 64 Deep Mirror Prooflike, 1 finer (4/09).(Registry values: P7, N2998)
