Marvelous 1879-CC Morgan Dollar
MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike
1879-CC $1 MS64 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. This is simply a
marvelous presentation of this coveted CC-mint rarity. The 1879-CC
is in demand in any circulated or Mint State grade, and with the
Deep Prooflike certification from NGC, this piece stands far and
away finer than most examples of the issue. The stark contrast
noted between frosty devices and deeply mirrored fields occurs as a
silver-on-black appearance, appearing at arm's length as a highly
contrasting proof. Such an appearance puts this example in the
distinct minority for the issue, as most Mint State survivors show
somewhat shallow prooflikeness, if present at all. A few minor
high-point ticks are in character with the near-Gem grade, but the
overall quality and eye appeal are splendid. Census: 11 in 64 Deep
