Splendid 1879-CC Morgan Dollar, Choice Mint State
1879-CC $1 MS64 NGC. CAC. Normal Mintmark. Outstanding semiprooflike fields reflect incredible amounts of luster and show moderate contrast against the frosted devices. Light lemon-yellow toning accents the crisply struck design elements. The reverse is remarkably clean, and the obverse has only trivial abrasions. This issue ranks among the scarcer Carson City Morgan dollars and is particularly difficult in high Uncirculated grades. NGC reports just 38 examples finer (7/08).
