Description

Splendid Brilliant MS64 1879-CC Dollar

1879-CC $1 MS64 PCGS. CAC. Toned or brilliant? Morgan dollar collectors seem to cluster at one end of the spectrum or the other. This piece is a superlative acquisition for the "brilliant" camp, with silver-white surfaces that show considerable prooflikeness, as often seen on the issue. While PCGS has not acknowledged the prooflikeness on the holder, CAC has certainly given the nod to the piece overall. Generous luster and relatively few abrasions further increase the appeal.(Registry values: P7, N2998)
