Description

Key 1879-CC Morgan MS65

1879-CC $1 MS65 PCGS. A whisper of almond-tan and ice-blue toning is present on the portrait, but most would regard the present piece as fully brilliant. Potent cartwheel luster sweeps unencumbered across this alertly struck key date silver dollar. The centers display only a trace of mint-made roller marks, and the reverse is virtually immaculate. The obverse field is also well preserved, and a wispy graze on the jaw is all that stands in the way of an even finer grade. The 1879-CC is the key Morgan dollar within the first period (through 1885) of Carson City production.
