Description
1879-O $1 MS65 NGC. Well struck through the centers, with pleasingly detailed hair above the ear and only a hint of flatness on the eagle's breast. The surfaces are unusually smooth, with Liberty's cheek particularly clean, and the eye appeal is great. This O-mint issue is a rarity any finer, with NGC certifying only eight numerically superior pieces (4/09).(Registry values: P5, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253V, PCGS# 7090, GSID# 7454)
