1879-O $1 MS65 NGC. From a mintage of nearly 3 million
pieces, the 1879-O Morgan dollar is an available date in lower Mint
State grades, but the issue becomes scarce in MS65 condition. The
1879-O is a formidable condition rarity above the Gem level, as NGC
and PCGS combined have graded only 21 coins in higher numeric
grades (7/10). The present coin displays booming mint luster, with
