Handsome Gem 1879-O Silver Dollar
1879-O $1 MS65 PCGS. This lustrous Gem has light gold toning, an above average strike, and splendidly smooth fields. The left obverse has a few delicate grazes. The 1879-O is surprisingly elusive at the MS65 level, although bagmarked Uncirculated examples are plentiful. PCGS has certified only 13 pieces in a higher grade (3/10).(Registry values: P5, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253V, PCGS# 7090, GSID# 7454)
