    Spectacular Multicolor Toning

1879-O $1 MS65 PCGS. The 1879-O Morgan dollar can be obtained without too much difficulty in lower Mint State grades, but the issue is rare above the Gem level. The well-preserved surfaces of this attractive Gem are blanketed in shades of champagne-gold, lavender-gray, and violet toning. Well-detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster complete the appealing package. PCGS has graded 14 numerically finer examples (6/13).(Registry values: P5, N1793)
