Attractively Toned Specimen

1879-S $1 Reverse of 1879 MS68 PCGS. CAC. This is a wonderfully toned specimen of the 1879-S Morgan dollar, struck at the San Francisco branch mint. The obverse has lovely multi-colored toning including gold, blue, and violet. The reverse has more subtle coloration, predominately light gold overtones. Only a few small contact ticks can be observed with a loupe on both sides. Radiant frosty luster blankets the well-struck surfaces. Approved by CAC for quality. PCGS Population 188 in 68 (16 in 68+), 0 finer (3/26).(Registry values: P1, N1793)
