1880-CC $1 8 Over High 7, VAM-5, MS66 PCGS. CAC. A Top 100
Variety, seldom seen in this lofty grade. Vibrant mint luster rolls
over delicately toned champagne and lavender surfaces on this
CAC-approved Premium Gem, while a loupe fails to reveal any
noteworthy abrasions beneath the patina. The eagle's breast and
talons show minor strike weakness, but this hardly impedes the eye
appeal. The overdate feature is plain on the VAM-5 variety.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2542, Variety PCGS# 133877, Base PCGS# 7102)
