VAM-5, 8 Over High 7, CAC Approved

1880-CC $1 8 Over High 7, VAM-5, MS67 PCGS. CAC. A Top 100 Variety. VAM-5 has a prominent overdate feature, with a clear 7 within the loops of the second 8. This is the so-called "High 7" overdate, as the underlying 7 is higher in relation to the 8 than it is on VAM-6 (the Low 7 overdate). VAM-5 is one of the most dramatic overdates not only within 1880-CC dollars but within the entire Morgan series.

This frosty, brilliant Superb Gem example displays radiant cartwheel luster and a bold strike. Unabraded surfaces are near-flawless in their preservation. Eye appeal is simply exceptional. This is one of the 12 finest examples of VAM-5 that PCGS has certified (8/23).
