1880-O Dollar, MS64+ Deep Mirror Prooflike
Starkly Contrasted CAC Coin
1880-O $1 MS64+ Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. CAC. Prooflike
and Deep Mirror Prooflike examples of the 1880-O Morgan dollar are
scarce in all grades, mainly residing in the MS60 to MS63 grade
range. This Plus-designated Choice example is among the top handful
of Deep Mirror Prooflike pieces known, as just a single finer piece
is reported at PCGS and NGC combined. Brilliant, starkly contrasted
surfaces yield sharp, frosty devices and glimmering fields. A few
small field marks prevent full Gem classification, but the quality
of this piece is unchallenged. Both the PCGS Plus designation and
CAC green label are well deserved. Population: 56 in 64 (4 in 64+),
