1880-S $1 MS67 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. The 1880-S dollar, with a mintage of nearly 9 million pieces, is one of the most plentiful of early Morgans. Even Deep Mirror Prooflike specimens through the MS65 level of preservation can be located without too much trouble. Superb Deep Mirror pieces, however, are much more elusive. This essentially untoned MS67 example displays stunning field-motif contrast, and has been well cared for. These attributes are complemented by a powerful strike that emboldens the design elements.
