Description

1881 $1 MS65 PCGS. While the 1881 dollar issue had a mintage nearly three-quarters that of its S-mint counterpart, the P-mint pieces are much more elusive in Mint State grades, particularly Gem and better. This crisply struck and strongly lustrous piece offers a veil of gold-orange patina over each side with deeper toning near the date.(Registry values: P4, N991)
