Description

1881-CC Silver Dollar, MS67
Lovely and Lightly Toned

1881-CC $1 MS67 NGC. Light to medium golden-russet toning confirms the originality of this highly lustrous and boldly struck Carson City Superb Gem. The cheek is undisturbed, and the remainder of the coin is also uncommonly smooth. The 1881-CC has one of the lowest business-strike mintages of the Morgan dollar series (296,000 pieces), though the GSA hoard made examples surprisingly affordable in exceptional quality. NGC has graded only 3 numerically finer examples (3/26).(Registry values: P4, N2998)
