Description
Outstanding 1881-S MS68 Dollar
1881-S $1 MS68 PCGS. Ex: Jackson Hole. An MS68 1881-S Morgan dollar--among the most attractive and best-produced of the series--never fails to elicit well-deserved gasps of admiration, and this piece is no exception. The swirling cartwheel luster is deep and unimpeachable, and the coin offers stupendous eye appeal throughout. Liberty's face and neck are free of all but a couple of the most insignificant ticks; diligent searching reveals only a single small luster graze in the right (facing) obverse field. The strike is well executed over the ear, although light roller marks are seen there. The surfaces show just a hint of light tan color through the date area. Population: 80 in 68, 2 finer (8/07).(Registry values: P1, N1793)
