    Rare Deep Mirror Prooflike Example

    1883 $1 MS66 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. The 1883 Morgan dollar is a challenging issue in the Deep Mirror Prooflike category, particularly in high grade. Premium Gems are rare. Moreover, no Prooflike or DMPL coins are certified finer than the Premium Gem level at either service (2/17). This top-grade coin is brilliant and displays considerable cameo contrast on each side. The strike is sharp, and only a few trivial marks are discernible on each side, as is normal for Morgan dollars with highly reflective fields. This is a Registry-grade rarity that seldom appears at auction. Population: 14 in 66 (2 in 66+) Deep Mirror Prooflike, 0 finer (1/17).(Registry values: P2, N1793)
