Description
1883 Morgan Dollar, MS67+
Scarce CAC-Approved Example
1883 $1 MS67+ PCGS. CAC. The 1883 Morgan dollar is plentiful
in most grades, although Superb Gems are moderately elusive and all
but one such graded at PCGS are non-Prooflike pieces. This is a
rare MS67 example that boasts both the Plus designation and a CAC
green label. Liberty's cheek is flawless and the fields are nearly
so. Both sides are luminously frosted on boldly struck devices,
with mostly brilliant surfaces that show faint hues of light amber
on the left edges. PCGS lists only six finer examples (9/25).Ex: Baltimore - Session 6 (Stack's Bowers, 3/2018), lot 3610; Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 6/2018), lot 4034.
