Elusive Date in High Grade
1883-S $1 MS64 NGC. The 1883-S Morgan dollar is difficult to
locate in higher Mint State grades and Q. David Bowers considers
MS64 the Optimal Collecting Grade for the issue. The present coin
exhibits brilliant surfaces with vibrant, frosty mint luster. All
design elements are sharply rendered, and eye appeal is
outstanding. NGC has certified only 17 coins in higher numeric
