Description
Prized MS64 1883-S Morgan
1883-S $1 MS64 PCGS. The mintage of the 1883-S suggests it should be plentiful in Choice Mint State, similar to the 1883 and 1883-O. But the 1883-S is usually encountered in XF or lower grades, and most Uncirculated survivors are grade MS63 or lower. However, the present lightly toned and lustrous representative is crisply struck and surprisingly unabraded, save for moderate marks near the E in ONE.(Registry values: P7, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254K, PCGS# 7148, GSID# 7522)
