Description

1883-S $1 MS64 PCGS. The 1883-S Morgan dollar enjoyed a large mintage of 6.25 million pieces, but the date is difficult to locate in high grade. The primary problem seems to be excessive bagmarks. The present coin displays a few wispy scratches in the obverse field, but the effects are diminished by the excellent mint luster and hints of attractive gold toning. Striking details are exemplary throughout.
