Bright, Lustrous MS64 1883-S Dollar
1883-S $1 MS64 PCGS. More than 6 million pieces were struck of the 1883-S, but this issue does not have an availability in Uncirculated of a coin with that mintage. Numerous lower grade circulated 1883-S dollars can be found for a nominal premium. However, in Uncirculated grades the availability decreases dramatically. This is a lovely coin that has bright, frosted surfaces and a glimmer of semi-reflectivity in the fields. There are no noticeable abrasions, and the coin has an overlay of light gray-rose toning on each side.(Registry values: P7, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254K, PCGS# 7148, GSID# 7522)
