Not Sold Description
1883 $1 MS66 NGC. Dusky chestnut hues visit the otherwise pearl-gray surfaces of this satiny and crisply struck premium Gem. The obverse is gloriously undisturbed. Struck from what used to be called "rusted dies," the origin of the mint-made raised pimples is now believed to be from flaws within the die steel.(#7142) (Registry values: P2, N491)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254G, PCGS# 7142, GSID# 7490)
