Gem 1884-CC Dollar With DMPL Surfaces

1884-CC $1 MS66 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. While plentiful in the lesser grades of Uncirculated (and even Gem condition) with deeply mirrored fields, the availability declines precipitously in MS66 and better grades. This, of course, is because of the propensity for all Carson City dollars to show heavy and numerous abrasions. This piece is certainly the exception with smooth, virtually unblemished surfaces. The only marks worthy of mention are seen on Liberty's nose and eyebrow. Deeply reflective and displaying intense cameo contrast from the presence of thick mint frost on the devices.
