Description

Elusive 1884-S Dollar, MS61

1884-S $1 MS61 NGC. While circulated examples of the 1884-S dollar are plentiful, Mint State pieces are elusive at all levels. Barely discernible wisps of light tan and ice-blue rest over the lustrous surfaces of this MS61 specimen, and a well directed strike brings up better-than-average definition on the design features. A few marks are scattered about, including a hair-thin one behind the cap.
