Description
1885-CC $1 MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike NGC. Noteworthy white-on-black contrast is evident on both sides, although it may be a bit stronger on the obverse. Well struck and carefully preserved, this deeply mirrored Gem originated from a surprisingly low mintage of just 228,000 pieces. Thankfully for collectors, a large percentage of the original production was stored in mint bags before being dispersed between 1930 and 1980.
