Conditionally Scarce 1885-S Dollar MS64 Prooflike
1885-S $1 MS64 Prooflike PCGS. The 1885-S is an unremarkable date in the Morgan dollar series, being neither scarce nor overly common. In Prooflike condition, however, this issue becomes very scarce. The current offering is a highly attractive near-Gem that displays intense reflectivity in the fields and nicely frosted devices. A slight degree of cloudiness is noted on each side, but surface marks are minimal for the grade. (Registry values: P5, N991)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254U, PCGS# 7165, Greysheet# 7535)
