Satiny MS64 1886-O Dollar
1886-O $1 MS64 PCGS. 1886-O $1 MS64 PCGS. This is an impressive example of the issue, with satiny silver surfaces and fully brilliant luster on both sides. The strike is sharp for the date, and the eye appeal is considerable for an '86-O. With 189 pieces certified at this grade level, the population certainly seems plentiful enough, but only three finer examples have been graded by PCGS (8/07). Therefore, nearly all collectors of otherwise Gem quality collections must necessarily choose a near-Gem specimen of this date.(Registry values: P8, N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254W, PCGS# 7168, GSID# 7536)
