Description
Original 1886-S Dollar, MS65
1886-S $1 MS65 PCGS. This wonderfully impressive coin shows surfaces that are highly lustrous with solid overall detail and splashes of rose, blue-green, and violet patina in the fields. Soft silver-gray shadings drape the centers. This underrated issue has a mintage of just three-quarters of a million pieces, and Gems are elusive, with anything finer a rarity: PCGS has graded only 33 such coins (4/09).(Registry values: P6, N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 254X, PCGS# 7170, GSID# 7538)
